Petal Bowls

Each bowl is handmade by individually layering delicate petals of clay over a form. The petals react in the kiln with the glaze to create a natural, organic effect.

 
 

“Kaihalulu”

Inspired by the red sand at Kaihalulu Beach on Maui. This unique glaze is achieved by combining layers of glaze over the course of multiple kiln firings, creating an explosive combination of colors.

“Molokini”

Inspired by the deep blue water and green landscape of Molokini island off of Maui. This unique glaze is achieved by combining layers of glaze over the course of multiple kiln firings, creating an explosive combination of colors.

“Lanikai”

Inspired by the beautiful green waters at Lanikai beach on O’ahu. This unique glazing technique combines multiple layers of glaze that react in the kiln to create this beautiful effect.

“Manini’owali”

Inspired by the gorgeous turquoise waters and white sands of Manini’owali beach on Hawaii. This glaze is achieved using a unique glazing technique which combines multiple layers of glaze that react in the kiln to create this beautiful effect.

“Halona”

Inspired by one of Hawaii’s natural wonders, the Halona blow hole on O’ahu. This unique glaze is achieved by spraying layers of glaze which chemically react to create this beautiful effect.

“Sharks Cove”

Named after the tide pools on the island of O’ahu, Sharks Cove is achieved using a unique glazing technique which combines multiple layers of glaze that react in the kiln to create this beautiful effect.
